Seeing the pilot in the air from the ground

  • Pilots are in the air, you are on the ground, asking over the radio who is where. — Every pilot on one map: altitude, speed, vario and take-off site, updated every second.
  • In an accident, the first minutes are spent looking for the position. — SOS and automatic incident detection: last position, emergency contact and one-tap calling on the same screen.
  • Flight records are scattered across notebooks, spreadsheets and chats. — Every flight is recorded with its GPS track on its own; calendar, statistics and PDF reports are ready.

Everything the operation needs

The pilot app, the smartwatch and the company panel are parts of one system.

  • Live tracking — All pilots on one map; altitude, speed, vario, battery and GPS quality every second.
  • 3D replay — Replay the flight over real terrain at its real altitude.
  • SOS chain — Pilot SOS and automatically detected incidents arrive with an audible alarm; the name of the responding operator reaches the pilot.
  • Automatic flight log — The pilot starts the flight, the system keeps the rest: track, duration, distance, altitude. GPX, IGC and CSV export.
  • Smartwatch — Apple Watch and Wear OS; the watch pairs with the phone on its own, the phone stays in the pocket.
  • Company panel — Pilot management, site and zone drawing, tandem passenger assignment, messaging and TV mode.
  • Statistics and PDF — Daily, monthly, yearly; hours and sorties per pilot. One-click PDF report.

Ready to fly in three steps

  1. We open your account — We clarify your needs in a short call and open your company account. Admin login arrives by e-mail.
  2. Add your pilots — Username and password are generated for each pilot. Pilots download the app for free.
  3. Fly and watch — The pilot starts the flight with one tap; you watch live on the panel and get an alarm the moment something happens.

Your data stays in your space

Location and health data are processed in the narrowest scope; who sees what is enforced on the server, not in the interface.

  • A wall between companies — Each company’s live data is kept separately; no company can see another company’s pilots, flights or messages.
  • Health data, narrowest scope — Heart rate and blood type are processed only with the pilot’s explicit consent and are not shown to the operator either.
  • Signed, time-limited sharing — The live tracking link sent to relatives shows only that flight and closes by itself after 12 hours.
  • Encrypted transport, open terms — All traffic travels over encrypted connections and passwords are stored irreversibly. Privacy notice and contracts are published on the site.

Frequently asked questions

What is KalyndaFly?

KalyndaFly is a live flight tracking and emergency response platform for paragliding operators. During a flight the pilot's phone reports position, altitude and speed every second; the operator sees who is airborne on a live map, and the system detects on its own when something goes wrong and raises an alert.

Who is it for?

It is a business (B2B) tool for paragliding companies, clubs and schools. The operator opens an account and creates users for its pilots; pilots download the app for free and sign in with the account their operator gives them.

How does it detect an accident?

The system watches for nine conditions: an SOS pressed by the pilot, free fall, a hard impact, a hard landing, long stillness after landing, ground speed dropping to zero while airborne (stuck in a tree or on rocks), signal loss in the air, leaving a defined operating area, and a flight that is never closed. When one is detected the operator is notified immediately.

Can a tandem passenger's family watch the flight?

Yes. The operator enters the relative's e-mail with the booking, or the pilot types it when starting the flight; the moment the flight starts, the relative receives a live tracking link. The link needs no account or app, shows only that flight and closes when the flight ends. The operator can also send a tracking e-mail from the panel while the flight is in progress.

Does it work without internet?

Live tracking needs mobile coverage. When coverage drops, the app stores the track on the device and sends it once the connection returns; live tracking is interrupted during that gap. Maps can be downloaded in advance for offline use.

Does it work with a smartwatch?

Yes. There are apps for Apple Watch and Wear OS; the watch pairs with the phone automatically, with no code to type. Heart rate and position from the watch are written to the flight record.

Who can see a pilot's data?

Only the pilot's own operator. Operators cannot see each other's pilots. Health data such as blood type and heart rate is processed only with the pilot's explicit consent and is not shown to the operator either: only the pilot and the platform's safety administrator can see it.

Is KalyndaFly a rescue service?

No. KalyndaFly is an assistance tool, not a rescue service. It does not prevent accidents; it shortens search time by telling you within seconds where the pilot is. The decision to fly and the responsibility for it always remain with the pilot and the operator.
